LEO Clinic offers residencies, fellowships, and internships in a wide range of departments to further your medical education in your chosen field.

We have a strong partnership with Springfield College, University of Connecticut, Goodwin University, and more in undergraduate and graduate medical education.

We conduct clinical educational programs for third and fourth-year medical students and programs in graduate medical education at the residency and fellowship levels. Full and part-time medical staff support each clinics' educational programs where commitment to education is inseparable from their role in patient care.

Service At Its Finest

Internship Opportunities 

Students participating in undergraduate and graduate degree programs in social work, counseling, and administration are eligible for internships at the LEO Clinic.

Our interns come from a wide range of New England schools and institutions. Acceptance is determined by the availability of supervision in the student's chosen field, past experience, and learning requirements.

Internship applications are accepted from January 1 to June 1 for September to May internships. Given programming and supervisory availability, there may be a limited number of summer block placements.

Training and Supervision
For all clinical work, individual/group supervision by an MSW, LCSW, MA, or other clinically licensed professional is required, or individual/group supervision by a professional staff member with a degree comparable with the program requirements is required.
Access to a wide range of training options provided by government agencies
For graduate internships, taped sessions are used in supervision for self-reflection and training.

BSW, BA, BS, AA, and AS students who are matriculated in a college program for undergraduate internships;

First- or second-year matriculated students in MSW or MA/ MS, MFT programs for graduate internships;

First- or second-year matriculated students in MSW or MA/ MS, MFT programs for graduate internships;

First- or second-year matriculated students in MSW or MA/ MS, MFT programs for graduate internships; first-
Experience working with children, adults, and/or families (paid or volunteer)
Interview with a recommendation from their school program

Paid Time Off

LEO Clinic values our employee's time and in doing so we have a generous paid time off program for all eligible.

Personal Leave Days

Full-time employees who work year-round receive 1- 3 days each year of paid time for personal reasons.


Full-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work 12 months a year earn between 15 - 22 vacation days each year


Our full-time, year-round employees have 15 paid sick days each year. Additionally, paid sick time can be used when you are caring for a sick or injured family member.
